Munich: F. Bruckmann, 1937. Hardcover. Very Good -. 143, [1] p.: illustrations; 23 cm. Green cloth with gilt stamped spien and cover titles. Former owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper of "Hans M. Sylvester, M.D." The author, Edwin Erich Dwinger (1898-1981), was one of the most popular authors in Nazi Germany. He published many works of fiction and nonfiction with a right-wing nationalist perspective and was a member of the Reich Culture Senate. This depiction of life on a German farm in the Allgäu region in southern Germany is heavily illustrated with black-and-white photographs. In Very Good- Condition: spine is faded; starting to separate at head of back joint; ends of spine starting to fray; p. 44-45 lightly soiled in margins; otherwise, clean and tight.
