Hardback. First Catch Your Eland' by Laurens Van Der Post. This book is in The Hogarth Press UK 1977 first edition. Hardback with dj. First edition. A handsome book all round. Dj is neatly price clipped and does bear a little fade to spine, but it is otherwise bright, glossy, with good edges and tips. Brown boards with gilt title to spine bear a small white mark but overall very good and contents are clean and unmarked. The first book about African cookery which really does belong on a bookshelf and in the kitchen. Cooking ranges from barbecued antelope from Bushmen, to sophisticated pastries developed by Cape Colonists. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
