A smart first edition of this scarce cookery book from English food writer Ambrose Heath, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. Scarce work. Written to save the cook of any future trouble picking a recipe for dinner. With simple instructions for good food this volume provides ideas for savoury dishes under headings such as fish, cheese, meat, and more. Written by Ambrose Heath, an English journalist and food writer who authored many cookery books. In the original pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Slight fading and discolouration to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and panel edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Minor age toning to the endpapers with an ink stamp to the front endpaper. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
