Contents clean and tight, missing three engraved plates, some browning and a little general wear, water stain to the top of the frontis and title page, text and plate unaffected, marble endpapers, interesting bookplate to the front paste down "Exlibris Charles Henry Hoare" , no inscriptions. .A fair, but incomplete copy with an interesting provenance.. R. Blamire, 1793. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1793. No Edition Stated. 215 pages. This is an ex-Library book. Half bound brown leather with marbled boards. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Volume II. Separately paginated appendix to rear, 70pp. With folding map of the Isle of Wight. Text block edges decoratively speckled. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and peeling to corners, while spine ends are crushed and rubbed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Spine title label partly missing. Gilt is bright.

Warner, spent his vacation of August 1796 in Wales, walking from Bath to Caernarfon and back; he covered 36 miles on the first day and 462 miles in all, at an average of 26 miles a day.
