Sobre este artículo
London: Vizetelly & Co, 1882. Decorative Cloth. Very Good +. Handsome copy of the 1882 1st edition of this elegant history of champagne. A sumptuous dark green cloth, with blindstamped and gilt-bordering, and lavish gilt-decorations and titling at the front panel. Very light spotting to the front panel, former owner bookplate at the front pastedown. In a lovely script "With Moet & Chandon's Compliments" at the verso of the front free endpaper and, on the facing blank page, a flowing, unidentified 1883 signature appears. Quarto, all edges gilt, 350 engravings (including the frontispiece "A Supper Under the Regency") complementing Henry Vizetelly's text.
