The Appendix includes: Basic Recipes, Guide to Wine, Aperitifs and Liqueurs. About very good with the front hinge repaired and some light soiling. The dust jacket has worn edges and is in an removable clear cover. Beard has long been an icon in the field of good cooking. This book is written in a friendly conversational way with clear direction. Many of the menus are of the era, more structured and complicated that might be found today. An interesting challenge for the adventurous cook and a good read for the historian. ; 8vo .
