Finely bound in full crushed brown morocco, the back and boards richly gilt featuring the coat of arms of Joan of Arc - a sword between a crown in chief and two fleurs-de-lys. Wide inner gilt dentelles, marbled end papers, the top edge gilt Illustrated with ten etchings after drawings by Bida by Boilvin, Boulard, Champollion, Courtry, Géry-Richard, Milius and Monziès. ix, 188 pages, each page of text decorated with a red frame. Near Fine, scant rubbing at edges, widely scattered and faint spots of toning. A quite tasteful and lovely binding. . First Edition Thus. Crushed Morocco. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
