Adam and Charles Black. London. 1905. NEW EDITION, reprinted with minor alterations in December 1905, shortly after the first printing of October the same year. 4to. (9 x 6.6 inches). Fully illustrated with fifty three colour plates. each with a printed tissue guard, and ninety mono illustrations. A fine and bright copy bound in attractive late twentieth century half dark green morocco. Spine with raised bands, each decorated with gilt piping. The compartments are ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt. Green cloth and ruled gilt borders on boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. A little light spotting to a few pages otherwise a near fine copy in a lovely leather binding. The binding is unsigned but is certainly the work of a master bookbinder.
