A faithful reproduction of a scarce work. Shaw was originally from Scotland and had much to do with lowering the duty on wine imported to England. His writing is informative and humorous. He mentions American wines and in a prophetic remark states, "California seems better adapted for producing wine."

The text is a review of towns and cities in the Jura and Burgundy, with small, inset photographic images of famous buildings in each. In illustrated beige wrappers, decorated and titled in dark green, burgundy, and gilt. Fine.
