Hardcover bound in later full green crushed polished morocco gilt by Worsfold. Raised bands on the spine. Leather turn-ins and stamped by Worsfold at the bottom of the front pastedown. Light rubbing and wear to the binding. The spine is faded to brown, and there is uneven fading to the green, especially at the top of the front cover. Top edge gilt. Contains a portrait frontis of Thomas More and a pictorial design on the title page, but this work was published with no other illustrations (the "Other Illustrations" from the title page refers to literary illustrations and not pictorial images).
