Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Light thumb-marking present. Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be loose. Binding is shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Mild tanning to spine and edges.

The spine is sound BUT is very rubbed/faded/sunned/scraped and mottled = Poor but sound. The Front & Rear boards and the gilt titling/decoration, however, have a few marks but are overall Very Good. Internally, there is a subscription label on front pastedown (presume from a Private Library as it mentions "No Deposit Required from Residents"). No Inscriptions or other Markings. A little foxing and a couple of neat closed tears (one repaired tear to the blank foot of the title page). Otherwise the book is actually VERY clean and tight, just a little light foxing (light brown spotting) here and there. Page fore-edges browned. A slightly tired copy with plenty of evidence of wear and handling externally, the pages are clean but one drawing has had a small area colored in The binding is weak but holding and the spine has been reinforced with a strip of tape.
