Red morocco binding, gilt lettering on spine, ruled gilt on cover, floral gilt inner dentelle, 5 raised bands, gilt emblems in compartments, marbled end papers, illustrated in color- 18 colored aquatint plates- drawn and etched by Henry Alken and aquatinted by E. Duncan. Condition of the book is VERY GOOD+: light wear overall to spine and covers, lower spine end a bit more worn to edges, upper corners bent, leather still supple, pages and illustrations clean, binding tight. NOTE: this volume was rebound by Reviere, possibly late 1890s, with original cloth covers and spine on pages in rear. Comes in half morocco slipcase (slight wear to spine) with detachable cloth inner sleeve. Sports, RGR.
