Black lettering & Publisher's Motif to spine. 280 Pages, 320g, 7 1/2" Tall. Some fading to cloth, mainly at spine and near fore edge (see photo). Some fraying to cloth at spine ends and a closed tear halfway down left sode of spine. Previous owner's inscription on endpaper dated 1944, no other inscriptions. Front hinge cracked and reinforced with white hinge tape. Some small spots of light foxing throughout. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" Tall

Minor cracking to front hinge, however binding remains firm. Pencil inscription to front endpaper. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing. Mild sunning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Mild droplets to front board. Book has forward lean.

Geoffrey Bles , 1935 . First edition in price-clipped jacket. The jacket has been reinforced with sellotape on the reverse, with some show-through where the tape has darkened with age. There is some loss to the jacket at the folds & the spine, & a partly removed price label on the spine. The publisher's logo, printed in coloured ink, has faded on the spine, but the title and author's name remain fully legible. Both flaps are creased at the edge. The book itself is in very good condition, with a foxed outer edge.
