Sturdy brown leather-like binding, 531 pages, includes an "Intenational Institute" membership certificate bound-in after the copyright page giving the owner a 1-year membership, however, the recipient's name is not present on the membership, the former owner's name (Catherine Kohler) is stamped in bright gold on the spine as is the title of the book, the cover is in great shape and the binding is clean and tight, there are two minor flaws only: the pages have moderate tanning to the outer edge and there are a few tan blemishes in the margins of a small number of the pages, quite a nice copy, also, a cooking "Time Tables" list is mounted on the inside of the front cover and a Weights and Measures list with other helpful cooking hints is mounted on the inside of the rear cover .
