London: William Pickering, 1845. Hardcover. Very Good. Vol. 1- cxiv + 255 p. + Illustration on frotis. Vol. 2- 358 p. Vol. 3- 368 p. 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 in. Tan calf binding binding, edges of covers embossed, gilt lettering on spines, 5 raised bands, edges of text block lightly flecked with brown, tan end papers. Condition of each volume is VERY GOOD: light wear to covers- a few light scuffs and worn corners, spine a bit more worn and darkened, top edges of text block darkened, small book plate of David B. Ogden on inside of front cover, name of Gouverneur Ogden in ink on ffep., end papers with light water stains to edges, page clean, bindings tight. Vol. 1- slightly heavier wear to spine, a few nicks and scratches to cover, top of spien lightly nicked. Vol. 2- leather labels missing, light tears to covers. Vol. 3- part of leather label missing, light water stains to end papers.
