Brown cloth with blindstamped decorations to covers and gilt particulars to spine, which has been professionally rebacked. Light foxing throughout. Inscribed to "[Judge Elphinstone] Jackson with the author's best compliments-" at rear of book. Jackson was born in Calcutta, India, the son of a leading judge. Following his studies in England, he returned to India, and together with others founded the Indian Football Association in 1893.
