Aleksandr Vvedensky was one the founders the OBERIU group (Union of Real Art). This association considered be one of the most radical poetry groups. The members of the group were attacked in press, then arrested and expelled from Leningrad. Since that Vvedensky started work for children. Nevertheless Vvedensky was arrested and died in prison in 1941. Most of Vvedensky's poetry was not widely known during his life-time.
The book was illustrated by Ol'ga Pchel'nikova. She studied at The Russian Academy of Arts. She worked as artist in film industry. Pchel'nikova died in Leningrad during WWII.
