The operation and care manual for National Motor Cars Car No. 7001 to --- IMPROVED SERIES V Model 40, 4 - Cylinder 4 7/8 " x 6 " Motor. Very Good, some pages with bottom corner crease, a few pages with tears. Includes a 4 page schematic diagram of the vehicle laid in, with diagrams for the various operating systems throughout and 10 pp. list of parts for Model 40 Series "V". The National Motor Vehicle Company operated in Indianapolis for 25 years, 1900-1924, and its cars enjoyed success at the early Indianapolis 500 Races. . Stapled Wrappers. RARE. 52 pp. with Application for Standard Warranty unused at front, fold-out Wiring Diagram at rear, and 2 pp. fold-out Lexington Model 6.0.17 Oiling Diagram at middle of book. Very Good, wrappers lightly soiled, small hole to rear wrapper, Includes numerous black and white photos and diagrams. The Lexington was manufactured in Connersville, Indiana from 1910-1927. . First Edition. Stapled Wrappers. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Original Photographs A collection of seven 7" x 9" and five 8" x 10" original black and white photographs, undated but appear circa 1970s-1980s, eight depicting motorcycle racers and four, automobile racers including one SCARCE photo of Paul Newman sitting in a race car. No attribution as to photographers and no writing to verso of any of the photos. Five of the 7 x 9 motorcycle photos are European, as some of the signage shows "BMW Clubs of Europe". All are Fine to Near Fine, light soiling to the right-hand margin of the Newman photo. . Photograph. Near Fine.

Gottingen, Germany : Gottinger Automobil - Club, 1927. RARE TLS from Ernst H. Diepholz, Generalvertreter fur Deutschland, B.S.A Motor Bicycles, under his company letterhead, dated 24th Nov., 1927, to British motorcycle racer R.E. Atkinson. Herr Diepholz begins the letter by congratulating Atkinson on his win at that year's Hainberg Rennen ( Atkinson was the winner of the Class B 350ccm race). He then goes on to inform him that B.S.A. is sending him "some spares for your machine free of charge". And concludes by offering to give Atkinson "a special 350 ccm BSA Super Sport motorcycle" should he be willing to enter "the Grand Prix of Europe for motorcycles (which) takes place on the Nurnberg Ring near Cologne on the 2nd or 3rd of July". Those races in 1928 would have marked the 2nd year of racing at Nurburgring ( if they were held- I am unable to find any information on motorcycle races winners, etc.). Fine, prior owner name and 1/72 front paste down, hidden by front flap, in a Very Good Plus dust jacket, front flap price-clipped, light rubbing, 2 small closed tears bottom edge front panel. Torres was light heavyweight champion in 1965, President of the WBO from 1990-1995, and a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, with a career record of 49-3-1. Berlin: im Deutschen Verlag,, 1937. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR at half-title page - " Arthur Kiekebusch su wiedersehen 1937 herrlich (?) Leni Riefenstahl". Arthur Kiekebusch was a German production manager and director, best known for the 1920 silent film "The Woman in the Dolphin" starring Bela Lugosi. He was the assistant production manager, with responsibility for all cameras and lenses, on Riefenstahl's film "Olympia" from which the photographs in this book were taken. He also worked with Leni on her 1935 film "Triumph of the Will" as unit manager and head cameraman. The First Edition book is Very Good Minus, boards bowed, cloth rubbed at corners and spine ends, prior owner name and US address front end page, hinges starting, lacking the dust jacket .
