Green pictoral cloth boards with green lettering and borders, publisher's name and hollyhocks on spine, and publisher's name in 1/8 inch type at base of spine. First edition, 2nd state with "Don't turn in at the side" on pg 325, "Glowing on the October sun" on 327. Condition is GOOD+ ; two-inch tear along front lower hinge, corners and ends of spine somewhat worn, spine somewhat faded, but clean and nice overall. Text very clean. Small ding to edge of text block at edge of about 10 pgs near end. Binding tight.
Sinopsis
Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is a classic American 1903 children's novel by Kate Douglas Wiggin. Rebecca Rowena Randall goes to live with her two stern aunts in the village of Riverboro in Maine. Her joy for life ends up inspiring them. She faces many trials in her young life, but comes through them with more wisdom and understanding. Wiggin wrote a sequel, New Chronicles of Rebecca.
