Collins. London. 1959. PROOF COPY OF FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (7.9 x 5.5 inches). Illustrated throughout with charming line drawings by Judith Brook, including both sets of endpapers. A very good clean copy in publishers blue marbled paper wraps. In the original full colour illustrated dustwrapper, designed by Selma Nankivell, featuring illustrated adverts for the first two of Michael Bond's Paddington Bear titles on the rear cover. A crease to the lower rear panel and a little rubbing and chipping to the extremities but overall a very good book in a very good dustwrapper. A scarce item.
