Color pictorial endpapers; 5 color plates and numerous smaller b&w illustrations. Slight rubbing to spine ends and lower corners, pages lightly aged, else a clean bright copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (4" closed tear at bottom of where the front cover meets the spine panel, ¾" x ¼" chip at top of front panel, 3 small closed tears at top of rear panel with some light creasing). Signed by the artist, Pamela Bianco.
First edition. A wonderfully charming sequel to the author's beloved classic, The Velveteen Rabbit, illustrated by her daughter, artist Pamela Bianco. The Skin Horse, a toy from the same house as the Velveteen Rabbit, finds new life in the hands of a young, sick child in the hospital.
