These were issued as part of the 1866 report of the Superintendent of the Coast Survey. Alexander Dallas Bache, then superintendent of the survey, was the great grandson of Benjamin Franklin. Both images measure approximately 52 x 41 cm. These sheets show specific regions within Mississippi. Sheet 1 is labeled Rodney, St. Joseph, Bruinsburg. Sheet 2 is labeled Grand Gulf, Turner's Pt., New Carthage. These are sheets 29 and 30 from the report, with printed numbering both recto and verso.
