1589 1ed Joachim Fiore Vaticinia Italian Prophecy OCCULT Dragon Monster Esoteric

Joachim of Fiore was a 12th-century Italian monastic known for his mystical teachings and visions. His prophecies enraged 12th-century Italy, though that did not stop his works from being widely popular. In fact, even in to the 16th-century, Fiore's works, along with the prophecies of other seers and monastics, were published together. Many of his prophetic visions revolved around the end of the world, end times, and the notion of an 'antichrist'. Such commentary is featured in the work 'Vaticinia'.

This 1589 first bilingual edition of 'Vaticinia' features descriptions of the prophecies of Anselm and Palmerio, illustrations of Girolamo Porro's prophetic wheel, as well as commentary on the prophecies of Pascal Regiselmo. This edition is also filled dozens of full-page emblematic engravings depicting unicorns, monsters, dragons, and other mythical creatures!

Walter de Henley was a 13th-century French agriculturalist primarily remembered for his treatise on husbandry. In fact, this book is considered to be
"undoubtedly the most original contribution of the Middle Ages to scientific agriculture". (Power).
Henley provided some of the earliest French instructions on farm management and upkeep the upkeep of a manor.

In 1589, an English edition of Henley's "Husbandry" was translated by Jacuqes Bellot and published by Wolfe under the title "The Booke of Thrift".

It is incredibly rare and valuable. In fact, there is only one known auction record of this work sold in recent history where it sold for more than $7,000

Rare original poetry book with cloth covered boards, copyright 1880 by J. W. Shoemaker & Co. This edition published in 1906 by the Penn Publishing company, Philadelphia. From the estate of my great-great grandfather.Includes many unique poems and recitations such as "To a skull", "Uncle Daniel's Introduction to a Mississippi Steamer", "The Leak in the Dyke", etc. More well-known poetry includes "Song of Birds", "Old Ironsides", and "Bannock Burn" by Robbie Burns. Light rubbing and bumps to outside spine edges. Back cover and interior cloth covered board has a stain at top. Original owner's name and address from 1908, but no other writing or marks. First 2 pages have a stain at top, but text of 192 pages of poetry and recitations is totally clean with light tanning of pages.
