This truly is a beautiful bookset! Full brown leather, fine binding with 5 raised bands on the spine. Gilt tooling and finish on the front and rear covers, the spine, edges, textblock, and inner pastedown edges. Red satin endpapers have small wrinkles or waves. In addition to the red satin pastedowns and endpapers, each volume comes with a red ribbon marker and a few of them are frayed at the ends. There are some scratches and small dark marks on the covers as well as the first few and last pages. There is some scuffing on the corner edges and spine head and tails. Rear cover has a 1/2 inch tear on the top rear and the plastic is pulled away at the bottom (1-1/2 inch by 3/4 inch).
