Original Art. Original art for the syndicated strip Can You Beat It! from May 9, 1930. Ink on illustration board measuring 34 x 42 cm. Upper right corner is torn but without affecting the art, three pin sized holes on the edges. Italian born Ketten was a comic artist and illustrator who was particularly successful in the first half of the 20th century with features such as Can You Beat It?, The "Hurry Up" New Yorker and Poor Little Income! Signed and inscribed by Ketten on the lower right corner.

Quarter gray cloth over marbled boards, red leather labels to spine lettered in gold. In 1989-90 the Roman newspaper Il Messaggero published a weekly insert featuring classic Mickey Mouse stories from the 1930s to the 1950s. The set includes more than 90 stories by Gottfredson with more than 1,500 pages in color and b&w. The condition of the set is fine. Each volume has an anti-theft sticker to rear pastedown endpaper and there are two pages with a short tear. In the Italian language. ; Folio.

MA./Seattle: Kitchen Sink/Fantagraphics, 1995. First Printings . Paper. Set in the suburbs of Seattle during the mid-1970s, the comics follow a group of mostly middle class teenagers who, over the summer, contract a mysterious sexually transmitted disease known as "the Bug" or "the teen plague", which causes them to develop bizarre unique physical mutations, turning them into social outcasts. It was published as a 12-issue comic book limited series between 1995 and 2004. The first four issues were released by Kitchen Sink Press; after Kitchen Sink went out of business, Fantagraphics republished the first four issues and the remaining eight. A compiled hardcover volume was released by Pantheon Books in 2005. Pelc, Ant., Lev Haas, and Holobrádek. RP karikatury. Prague: Redakce Rudého práva, 1947. First Edition, First Printing. Oblong Octavo (8 1/8 x 5 3/4 inches; 208 x 145 mm), 75, [5] pages, in wrappers (soft cover).A rare book of cartoons published by the Czech Communist Party newspaper, Rudé právo. Antonin Pelc and Lev Haas drew the cartoons, which are pro-Communist, anti-Nazi, anti-American, and anti-Western alliance. Holobrádek (a pseudonym) supplied short verses to accompany each cartoon. The book appeared in 1947, a year before the Communist seizure of power in Czechoslovakia. Oddly, the cover features a cartoon by Pelc that misspells the name of Klement Gottwald, the Communist leader (it shows only one "t" in Gottwald). A sign displayed in the cartoon reads (translating from the Czech): "The construction of a two-year plan is carried out by Gotwald and others." This is a rare "Big Little Book" copy of "The Adventures of DICK TRACY Detective" by Chester Gould. Number W-707. 1932 1st edition, 1st printing; Whitman Publishing Company; Racine, Wisconsin. Illustrated throughout. This title has the distinction of being the first Big Little Book ever published and had only one print run. The book is a compilation of the Dick Tracy daily comic strip that appeared in the Detroit Mirror newspaper from November 19 to December 28, 1931 and April 12 to May 24, 1932.
