This is a Binding Copy as both boards are present but detached and the spine cover is missing. There is some general scuffing to the boards. There is some foxing here and there but mostly at the front and back pages. There is some writing on the half title page. There are no free end papers in this book with the first leaf being the half title page and the last page being the end. 300pp..

This book should be bound anew as the front board is detached and the back only held on with the binding cords. The boards would seem to indicate that this book was saved from fire at some point but the contents are quite good. The front paste down has a book plate attached. 268pp..

Near Whitehall: T Egerton, Military Library, 1803. Book. Poor. No Binding. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. This is Volume I only of two and consists of 630 pages of text plus a 373 page appendix plus an 18 page index which goes only to U making me believe the last leaf is missing. This is a binding copy as the boards are missing. The binding is tight with the leaves quite clean and have foxing mostly at the front end There is a library stamp on the title page..

This English edition is not an abridged one, but comprises the whole of General Dumourier's two volumes in one. This (written by himself) translation was undertaken at the suggestion of General Dumourier, who has furnished the present editor with several additions to, and various illustrations of, the Original Work. The leather boards are detached and end papers almost detached but the contents are quite good..

Dublin: George Bonham, 1785. Book. Full-Leather. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Front leather hinge split but held with binding strings with no pages missing and the text pages still tight. Rear hinge starting but mostly intact. Corners and edges of boards are quite worn but still a nice copy. The last page states -End of the First Volume- There are some old light moisture stains but all text quite legible. 464pp.
