All hand written generally on recto and verso, but in many different hands with seals stamped or embossed to documents. Now housed in a custom designed folio enclosure (15" x 12 1/2") along with the original velum.This work details the agricultural, household and commercial operations, as well as the daily life, at the Hacienda. The manuscript includes business records, legal documents and a variety of other historical material. Originally housed in a vellum binding which has become loose, but enclosed within the custom enclosure for the document. A full run of the ICA from 1875 through 2012 lacking only one volume, XIV 1908 from the Vienna conclave. One hundred volume titles in all. The set has been collected over the course of 30 years. There are no facsimiles. As you see from the images, the condition of the volumes varies, but all content is present and clear. Thousands of papers on archeology, ethnology, anthropology, sociology etc. all pertaining to the indigenous tribes and colonial peoples of the Americas from distant pre-history to the present. Thousands of maps drawings and photographs. The Congress was begun in 1875 in Nancy, France and alternated every three years between a site in the Americas and Europe. Serious enquiries only, please. First edition of the first constitution of Gran Colombia, known as the Constitution of Cúcuta. A monument of post-colonial liberty and arguably the most important book ever printed in Latin America. Gran Colombia consisted of current Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, northern Peru, western Guyana and northwest Brazil. This is one of the very few copies that were printed of the first edition. A decree in this volume prints the order to reprint the constitution at Bogota in two or three thousand copies and to print one thousand copies of a Caracas edition.
