1st edition, published by Jonathan Cape in London, 1952. Fair condition. No dust jacket. The spine is worn quite badly along the edges, and has been damaged with a puncture mark near the bottom edge. The hardcover is showing expected fading, and wear and tear from age. Some very slight foxing visible, mainly along the edges of the pages. The binding is still intact. There is a very faint inscription penned by a previous owner on the flyleaf.

In good condition. We're not sure about the date published or publisher as the first few pages, including the inside title page and publishing details, have been neatly torn out. There is some light foxing visible, mainly along the top edge of the pages.

The dust jacket is unmarked, and protected from any potential damage by a clear plastic cover. The hardcover underneath is also undamaged. There is a small inscription penned by a previous owner on the flyleaf. No foxing or tanning visible, but there is some very slight dust marks along the top edge of the inside pages.

Fifth edition with special plates, published in California, USA, in 1977 by The Academy for Future Science. In good condition. No dust jacket. The hardcover is undamaged. Foxing visible on some of the inside pages. There is an inscription penned by a previous owner on the flyleaf.
