This 250 page part illustrated manuscript is without doubt provably, to the requirements of criminal law ie. beyond reasonable doubt in part at least the "Original Source Manuscript " to the 1st edition of Wisden's Almanack 1864.

The first part is in the form of a day to day diary for Jan - Sept 1863. It gives a brief account of the author's daily life and includes many meetings with Wisden at his shop in 1863. From these diary entries it is quite obvious that Wisden and this gentleman aristocrat are on very good terms with each other. Arthur Kiekebusch was a German production manager and director, best known for the 1920 silent film "The Woman in the Dolphin" starring Bela Lugosi. He was the assistant production manager, with responsibility for all cameras and lenses, on Riefenstahl's film "Olympia" from which the photographs in this book were taken. He also worked with Leni on her 1935 film "Triumph of the Will" as unit manager and head cameraman. Thomas Thornton was an 18th-century English hunter known for his sporting tours and outdoor sports. Shortly after the French Revolution in 1802, Thornton ventured to France in hopes of obtaining a large French estate. And while the purchase failed, he was befriended by Napoleon
and gained significant knowledge on the landscape, tradition, culture, and hunting history of France.
In 1806 he published a book on his discovery entitled 'A Sporting Tour Through Various Parts of France'. This two volume set includes more than 50 engravings, many folding, of French architecture, hunting supplies, landscapes and chateaus (including Versailles!), as well as illustrated hunting scenes!
