Red paper covered boards decorated with gilt and white repeat pattern, white cloth spine section with gilt titles to the spine, paste-downs and end-papers printed with pattern of bird and foliage, with the dust jacket. Book condition near fine, a very clean copy. Dust jacket condition good, corners spine ends and top edge very slightly curled/creased, spine and spine edges of panels have sunned from red to white, not price clipped. This was a presentation copy from The Author John Hadfield to Evelyn Elwyn - the wife of Biographer and Critic Malcolm Elwin.
