You can feel the tightness of NEWThis book, now over thirty years old, is still a must-have for any lay person fan of the Late Bronze Age in general and the Sea Peoples in particular. The topic is probably over a hundred years old now among professionals but it was this book that introduced the subject to general audiences. The author was introduced to me through the superb Michael Wood's documentary, "In search of the Trojan War." She is an excellent writer and covers all the known facts up to that time in this profusely illustrated book. The type is readable and clear. The original HC edition is now a collectible over $100 U.S. but this PB edition has held up very well for all the use I've given it. You may be wondering what has changed in the field since then.
