Old binder's tape in gutters between end sheets and paste downs to repair the loose binding. Pages have are lightly toned otherwise clean and near pristine. ; 11.3 X 8.3 X 0.5 inches; 56 pages .

All parts of this book are in very good shape, the covers have no soiling or edgewear, the pages are not chipped or marked, but the covers are reattached inside, at the endpaper hinges, using cloth tape, and the backstrip on the spine is mostly gone at the very edges of the boards and can use expert bindery work to restore what would be a very handsome copy of this scarce children's classic. Protected by a heavy archival Mylar jacket.
