Pickering & Inglis. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Hardback. Nd. 1933?. A very good copy in light blue cloth lettered in black on the spine. In a good dustwrapper which shows fairly minor tears and chipping to the edges. The dustwrapper, which is not price-clipped, is now protected in a clear, removable sleeve. Some top edge and a little fore-edge foxing but a clean copy internally. No ownership inscription. 228 pages + 3 pages publisher's adverts. Frontispiece and 25 illustrations. Map on front end-papers. The author was an African explorer and missionary. This is an uncommon and interesting record of his journeys in the wilds of Central Africa with an account of the peoples he encountered and their customs and beliefs.
