The series was widely popular and was extended to 65 volumes over 37 years.

The bottom of the table of contents page is stamped "Discard" and there is a library pocket and date slip pasted to the rear free end page. In a very good+ dust jacket with a 1/8" chip at the base of the spine area and lightly rubbed at the folds to the flap. Although this is not one of the volumes in the Rivers of America for Young Adults, it is frequently added to a collection of same.
