Green quarter-cloth binding over green grey paper-covered boards. Colour plate set to front cover. Moderate wear and rubbing to extremities. Text-block is loose from binding, with many loose pages and attendant edge-wear. There is significant loss to one colour illustration, but no loss to text. A few pages have closed tears. Rear endpaper is lost. A damaged (or well-used) example of the scarce Canadian issue of the first edition, with cancel title-page with the Toronto imprint. Interesting thus, and still readable, with all the entertaining colour prints and line illustrations. 180p..

Good to very good, spine lettering rubbed and with wear to the tips The first in this charming series of early 20th century children's books featuring teddy bear chracters Teddy B. and Teddy G., inspired by Theodore Roosevelt. Some rubbing at corners, previous owner name on title page, else clean interior. 1906 on title page, copyright page shows 1903 and 1906, but also has the statement Published September 1, 1906 on copyright page. 180 page, a few have small closed tears on the bottom edge, but overall a nice copy. Originally published in leading newspapers. Travels and adventures of two bears who share last name as the President Roosevelt. Beautifully illustrated in b/w throughout with 16 full page color illustrations - all are present but the frontispiece was rebound at page 74. Nice copy of scarce title in hardcover.. Overszied hardcover in grey/green paper covered boards with tipped on color illustration of the two title bears; dark green cloth spine. 153 pp. Color frontispiece and six additional full page color plates as well as numerous drawings throughout the text by V. Floyd Campbell. A very good example, hinges neatly reinforced, some light repair to the front free endpaper and recto (unprinted) side of the frontispiece, short closed tear to the lower margin of plate at p. 26. The adventures of Teddy B. and Teddy G. "The Roosevelt Bears" , anthropromorphic bears created around 1905 for children and inspired by a tie-in with then-President Theodore Roosevelt. This enormously popular series continued until 1921 (despite the fact that Eaton died in 1916 and TR ledt office in 1909 and died in January, 1919.
