Louis Brownlow (1879-1963) was a political scientist, journalist, foreign correspondent, city manager, consultant in the area of public administration, and professor of political science at the University of Chicago. Truman and was the namesake of the 1936 Brownlow Committee, responsible for the modern reorganization of the executive branch.
