Graves had recently become friends with the Reichenthal family, having admired Riding's poetry for a year or two beforehand; he dedicated books to the girls and their father throughout the rest of the 1920's (Laura Riding - 'L. Size: 8vo, 7 3/8" x 4 7/8" 54 pp. with original publisher's cloth-backed blue, greenish grey boards with an excellent printed white label printed dark blue on the spine. The cream dust jacket printed in blue has some sunning and staining with age and a small chip on the head and bottom of the spine and folds. Otherwise in very good condition. No restoration on jacket or edition. Slight fading to boards, minor rubbing to corners with some light overall use. Published July 1926 at 2s; 2,000 copies printed. Woolmer 97. A very important and rare Hogarth Edition based on John Maynard Keynes' Sidney Ball lecture delivered at Oxford in 1924.

Cheap Edition 1937 8vo. 193 pp. in gray cloth with black lettering stamped on spine housed in the Avant-Guard book jacket wrapper design by the American Artist E. McKnight Kauffer. This black photomontage with bold red black and blue was a very new style for the time. A few tiny nicks on the jacket and a light blue ink smear on the back. "The title of Quack, Quack! suggests the barnyard sounds of the orating Hitler and Mussolini. With devastating effect, Woolf matched photographs of the eye-bulging Hawaiian war god Kukailimoku to those of the gesticulating bellicose dictators. Woolf's two-hundred page attack on fascism concentrated on the savage quackery of modern totalitarianism but also discussed the intellectual sources he found in Carlyle, Nietzsche, and Spengler. 'Woolf began writing Flush in the summer of 1931, after completing The Waves. She continued to work on it as she began writing The Pargiters and she wrote in her Diary at the end of 1932 that she was using Flush to "cool" her mind after the effort of writing The Pargiters". Size: Octavo - 5 5/8" x 8 3/4" tall 24 pp. A copy bound in white boards and printed in black with the dynamic linear cover design by Eugene McCown. Virginia Woolf set the type on this issue as well as named the book according to " The Diary of Virginia Woolf, Volume II p.320" *Woolner 57 Nancy Cunard, has been romantically associated with Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot. Some say she was written as Fresca in The Waste Land from the early drafts of Eliot's 1922 poem. Showing some overall light use on the cover as per the photos but overall an important and lovely copy.

Volume 2 also had pale grey cloth boards and gilt stamping on the spine but with a blue, grey and black dustjacket. The first definitive biography of Virginia Woolf, written by her nephew Quentin Bell, at the request of Leonard Woolf. An essential reference to Woolf's private, day-to-day life, from early life until her death.

White label on the spine printed in black with a some wear and tear. Size: 9 7/8" x 7 3/8" pp.51 plus 3 page Hogarth Press advertisement. Published May 1923. Woolmer(38). A lovely copy indeed for any Hogarth collector.

Rare First Edition - State 1 -THE STORY OF THE SIREN. 500 copies handprinted by Virginia and Leonard Woolf at Hogarth Press July 20th, 1920. 14 pp. 9 1/2" x 5 3/4". Original paper wrappers printed in a blue marbled design with a white label printed in black with a triple gold frame. There were three variations to the label and this is the "State 1" label as indicated by the Gold Bars and by the spacing of the title: THE STORY - OF THE SIREN - E.M.Forster. It is written that Virginia set the type for the book herself. Woolmer (9) No previous owners bookplates or markings. Edges toned and worn but still a rare and beautiful edition for any collector.

Beautiful marbled paper covered boards in rich reds and blacks swirling to beiges with cream title label printed in black published by Virginia and Leonard Woolf at Hogarth Press. "Published October 1925 at 5s; number of copies printed not known but the Sussex ledger shows 60 copies sold by 19 January 1926." Woolmer (62). Barrington Gates was a scientist as well as a poet.

New York: Doubleday Doran & Company Inc, 1936. Inscribed by author to Publisher Nelson Doubleday. First American Issue by Doubleday, Doran September 25 1936 rarely seen. What makes this copy so unique it that is was inscribed to Nelson Doubleday, the publisher and president of Doubleday Company from 1922-1946 from Vita Sackville-West. "...Nelson Doubleday in his letter to Vita May 21, 1936 describes receiving the setting copy that day from England and putting it on the sewing machine". Cross & Ravenscroft-Hulme A.31(c). Bound in red cloth covered boards with gold stamping on a black emblem down the spine. - 8vo 395 pp. Size: 6 1/4" x 9 1/4" The boards have some staining as per the photos and there is no dustjacket. An important collector copy of one of Vita Sackville-West's most rare and out of print books.

Woolmer states that this was "apparently bound by the Woolfs, as the wrappers appear in a number of differing colours and designs, the copy above replicating Woolmer's description.
