This is an antique dinner menu for a Fourth of July celebration at the "New Pemigewasset House" in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Nice front cover with a Patriotic color chromolithograph illustration of fireworks and the American Flag. The card is dated July 4, 1913 on the front. Some of the menu items have American flair added to their name...for example - Fillet Mignon "A La Independence," Consomme "Washington," Potage "A La American," Braised Sweetbreads "A La Lincoln," Compote Fresh Fruits "A La Lee," "Roosevelt" Punch, "Washington" Whipped Cream Pie," and Salad "A La Wilson." The menu measures 7" tall x 5" wide when folded.Condition:Light foxing to all four panels of the card, otherwise in Good condition with no tears or writing.

"Containing a General Directory of the Citizens, a Classified Business Directory, Street Directory, a Record of the City Government, Institutions, Societies, etc." Also included is an original advertisers payment slip dated 1922 for a business once located on Main Street.Condition:The lettering on the spine has mostly faded. Shelf wear along the edges of the boards. Worn cover corners. There is a crack at the rear hinge between the end paper and pastedown resulting in the back cover being shaky. Occasional light staining along the top page edges. Overall the directory is in Good- condition.

This is a handsome, fine binding set of the "Life of DANIEL WEBSTER" by George Ticknor Curtis. 1870 2nd edition (stated); D. Appleton and Company; New York. With engraved frontispiece portraits of Webster in both volumes, and a few other in-text illustrations. Complete set in two volumes. Nicely bound in three-quarter leather with marbled covers, five raised bands on the spine, marbled page edges on all sides, and marbled end papers. There is an Index at the back of volume II.Condition:Some light rubbing of the marbled paper on the covers; there are a few small scratches to the leather on the spines. The lettering on the author/volume labels on spines has partially faded. There is a 1" strip at the outer edge of the back cover of volume II where the marbled paper has peeled up. Both volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. Both volumes have clean interiors - the pages are clean and white with no condition issues found. Overall a very nice set.

This is an antique 1910 college yearbook, "THE PRISM" Published Annually by the Junior Class at the University of Maine. There are photographs and illustrations throughout, including numerous illustrated advertisements for local businesses. Tight binding with no loose pages. Both covers are firmly in place. Page 263 and the tissue guard facing it each have a small stain at the upper-outer corner. Pages 290 & 291 each have a small bug smudge at the outer edge. A few random pages have "H.W. Smith Library" stamped in red ink. The frontispiece has a couple small tears, a small piece missing, and some light creasing at the outer edge. Overall the yearbook is in Very Good condition.
