Written by Daniel M. Daniel, Baseball Expert of the New York Telegram. Frontis a double page photo montage of 10 baseball greats selected by the author as the All Star Team of 1930. A fragile book, usually found with flaws as paper covers typically show wear and soil.

The front cover features a b/w photograph of Sandy Koufax, Los Angelas Dodger southpaw pitching at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Dodgers' mound marvel led all major league pitchers in 1965 in victories, 26; winning percentage, .765; complete games, 27; innings pirched, 336; strikeouts, 382; and earned-run average, 2.04. As a result of his performance, Koufax was a unanimous choice for the Cy Young Award. The text includes a listing of all active field players, pitchers, managers. coaches in the major leagues in 1965 with biographical information, printed autograph, and career statistics. Few copies of these books have survived.

The front cover features a full color photograph of three key figures in the Boston Red Sox' pennant drive of 1967 during the final World Series game with the St. Louis Cardinals. Catcher Elston Howard listes as Manager Dick Williams (jacket) discusses the situation with ace pitcher Jim Lonborg in the sixth inning. At the time, the Cards led, 4-1, with runners on first and second with none out. The situation called for a bunt but, after this conference ended, Julian Javier didn't bunt. He slugged a homer to put the Redbirds ahead 7-1. Lonborg stayed in to reture the side but left for a pinch-hitter in the last half of the sixth. The Sox lost the game 7-2. The front cover features a b/w photograph of Ken Boyer, St. Louis Cardinal third baseman leaping to spear a line drive. Long recognized as one of the game's all-time third base greats, Boyer was voted the National League's Most Valuable Player in 1964 for his superlative play which led the Cardinals to the pennant and a world series win over the New York Yankees. The front cover features a b/w photograph of "the Robinson boys"--Frank, left, and Brooks--who helped bat the Baltimore Orioles to the American League pennant and the World Series championship over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Frank, who was voted the A. L.'s Most Valuable Player, won the league's Triple Crown, batting .316, hitting 49 homers, and driving in 122 runs. Brooks produced 23 homers and 100 RBIs on an average of .269 and was the league's fielding leader at third base with a percentage of .976. The text includes a listing of all active field players, pitchers and managers in the major leagues in 1966 with biographical information, printed autograph, and career statistics. Few copies of these books have survived.

This short biography was published just after Lemon had been awarded his second 'Pitcher of the Year Award' when he was with the Cleveland Indians. Player statistics are listed for each player's career through the 1965 season. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Buffalo Bills for the 1965 championship (later dubbed the Super Bowl). Cleveland Browns fullback Jimmy Brown was named the NFL Player of the Year for 1965 by the Sporting News. Most of these paperback annuals did not survive.
