Four word pen notation to page 9, cooking spots to the leading edge of pages ,and also here and there throughout the book, some folded-down page corners which have been righted. This well-used book has been around the block and there are some pages with dog-eared corners, creased corners,and small tears to the edges of the pages, but not affecting the text, the covers were too weak for such a big and heavy book and typically the hinges fall apart from use and the covers are lost. This is what has happened to this copy, with both covers gone but the original spine strip remaining but with wear to the head and foot of the spine. The covers have been replaced with more substantial card covers covered in an umber coloured fabric but with the original yellow spine strip. Furthermore the following pages were missing and have now been replaced with photocopied pages from another 2nd printing copy: title page/page2. pages 3/4,…
