New York: Simon and Schuster, 1971. First edition, 1st printing. F/VG+. Hardcover book complete in its original dust jacket (unclipped). 22 cm. 448 pages. Contains black-and-white illustrations throughout. This copy has been inscribed and signed by Elvis Presley in blue pen directly on the front loose end page. The book is in fine condition. No other ownership marks/writing present within. Hinges tight, interior pages bright. Light edge wear/bumping, soiling, toning to the dust jacket, which also shows some bubbling to the laminate coating. Books signed by Elvis are very scarce and considering that he was an avid bibliophile (he apparently passed away holding a book) this is quite a lovely and unique piece of EP memorabilia. The signature and inscription are guaranteed to be authentic.

Includes the map of Walden of between pages 306 and 307. Printed in an edition of under 300 copies, this third edition is exceedingly hard to find, especially so in decent condition. Pages 307 onwards show a light stain to the upper fore edge corners. A few pages were roughly cut along their fore edges. Overall, a desirable copy of this elusive edition of Thoreau's classic…

Rebound hardcover book collecting various antique American almanacs from the years 1828-49. The contents vary from poor to good condition. Heavy toning/staining to many of the interior pages. Some pages are torn, chipped or missing. Owned by W. W. Burton of Alliance, Ohio and contains his signature to the front fixed end page. Previous owner's name penned to some leaves. Contains many wonderful woodcut illustrations. A unique offering. A tradition of almanacs published for the purposes of North America began in New England in the 17th century. A New World's dwelling would seldom be found without the latest print of North American almanac and The Pilgrim's Progress. The earliest almanac published for New England appeared in Cambridge, Massachusetts as early as 1639, by William Pierce. It was the second work printed in the English colonies of America altogether (the first being The Oath of a Free-man, printed earlier in the same year). The earliest New England almanac of which an extant copy survives in…
