The rear board has a few black marks on it but is overall well-preserved. Three small marks on the spine, and the publisher's name is faded somewhat. The illustration at the top of the spine is well-preserved. A previous owner's signature in pen and a marking in pencil are present on the front endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate and sticker on the front paste-down; Gift inscription in ink on the front leaf, with some of the ink bleeding into the next few pages. The front board has a slight overbite. The contents are clean and fresh with bright illustration. A beautiful copy of this sentimental novel. A souvenir book of photography put out in commemoration of the 10th German Sängerbundfest in 1928. The Sängerbundfest was an independent association that was the world's largest amateur choir association. The book is in good minus condition. The boards are darkened and parts of the cover illustration have been chipped off. Shelf wear to the spine resulting in some cloth loss and bumping and scuffing to the corners. A previous owner's personal stamp is present on the front endpaper. The endpapers and pastedowns are toned but largely clean, with the exception of a few stains. Slight stain on the top edge. There is staining throughout the text block but it largely does not affect the photographs and stays mostly at the edges of the pages.
