Hard to find with DJ because it has a glued on Drawing that has a border that can be framed, Iconic. The cover has another of the Iconic prints glued on the front board(vintage without the ugly yellow box). Book only has bruised spine ends and previous owners bookplate on the first leaf. very clean except mild page toning, very unread tightness and very square. Touched up no wear to boards showing.DJ is soiled and with minor tears, stains on rear and wear along the edges. Price is intact.

BUT IT HAS A 2ND STATE DJ WITHOUT THE BOOK OF THE MONTH CLUB AT THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR COVER.PAGES BROWNING, BOOK IS TIGHT,IT IS LIGHTLY SOILED ON COVERS EXCEPT THE SPINE AREA IT IS DARK BROWN AS USUAL BECAUSE OF BINDING GLUE.SPINE AREAS LIGHTLY BUMPED, and there are small tears in spine ends. DJ HAS MINOR SOILING AND MINOR CHIPPING,PRICE INTACT $2.50 included is a photo of the Author and two dogs with a facsimile signature from the School Edition.

1938,Scribners,Tan(?) Cloth with Green decorations and lettering. Grayish Green(?) top page end(first edition issue point), rough cut fore edge(issue point), milled bottom edge pages. the gutters have a small amount of Cheap Glue color front(very minor) and back(cleaner than photo, used white eraser, it worked). Has the "A" and Scribners Seal on the copyright page with 1938 on the main title page(1st Edition issue points). The pastedown pages front and rear are very clean, no markings of any kind, beige cloth and all paper is also off white or light toning..spine ends very lightly bruised. DJ is price-clipped with minor edge wear, one stain(coming from inside(?)less than thumb nail size. Now in Brodart(clear plastic protection). This is the best copy I have ever seen, it is beautiful(check photos you decide). Stored in Baggie(moisture and dust protection) inside a iPad sleeve(protected against light).

Years Of Grace, Houghton Mifflin, No Date on the Main Title Page, 1930 copyright, unstated 2nd state because of no other print listings 2-4th Black cloth, red lettering is almost all gone on the spine, but intact on the front cover. Dark Marrone(oxblood) stained top page edge, rough cut fore pages(a couple of them hand separated), the bottom is milled. there is wear at the edges(all), cloth pulled the top and bottom spine. And the book has a slight curve top to bottom(but the book is very tight) just old and shaky with no separation of the leaves. I am going to store with books on top to try and flatten the curve(that should work).Years of Grace, Franklin Library special edition for their members. Leather a bit dull which seems to be the norm for this brown issue. Gold lettering and decorations, I do not see any defects, but still, about $25-40 listed here for a reading copy substitute.Edna His Wife, Houghton Mifflin, 1935 on the main title page, and no other printings so this is a First Edition. Akron Ohio , New York: Saalfield, 1912 research shows this to be the earliest edition, with MCMXII on the main title page. Pages are browned due to cheap paper used, and an inscription on the inside flap of the front cover,no other defects I can see, very very minor bumping to spine end. DJ: beautifully colored and still bright,very minor tears and chips but still 99% complete,minor soiling.. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+.
