Very good in the original cloth and the scarce dust jacket which is a little rubbed and chipped in places, but very acceptable and now in a loose protective sleeve. The uncommon first edition of this important work.

Warrington, Pearse, 1881, pp. 272. Large paper copy, number six of only eight copies printed on hand-made paper, signed by the publisher. Bookplate of W. Harry Rylands. original quarter leather.
