Hardcover, 288pp, index, full-page colour photos of prepared dishes. Pawlcyn is best known for the restaurants she opened in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Napa Valley between 1983 and 2008. Pawlcyn was an early advocate for using local, sustainable meats, and produce in her restaurants. This cookbook presents menus from different parts of the world so is a good one-book resource for those looking for some fairly easy to make new ideas for meals for family and friends. For example the Brazilian menu proposes a sald of Hearts of palm, arugula, and butter lettuce followed by Feijoada, and Caipirinha (two ways) with a dessert of Velvet Custard.
