Binding tight with a couple nicks to top above textblock.

First edition/ First Printing. J.B. Lippincott Co, 1939. 309pps. Bound in publisher's yellow cloth with bold black titling, little fading or wear to covers, without dustjacket. Spine tight. No ownership marks or interior marks, no foxing, pages gorgeous, but some wear to front and back inside covers where dustjacket was previously affixed, with a faint doubling of the jacket panel on inside front free endpaper. An appealing first printing of Dalton Trumbo's classic anti-war novel, serialized one year later in the Communist Party's Daily Worker.

A scarce 1844 printing of J Collin de Plancy's demonology compendium, Dictionnaire Infernal, this is the third printing with 250 new articles and entries. In red cloth covers, good with some staining to covers. Rebound in library binding with a ghost of library label to outside cover. Fair, no markings to pages. Binding tight. Former L'archevêque de Paris copy with stamp.
