Green quarter leather bindings and green cloth boards are protected by a transparent tight plastic skin, almost perfectly preserving the covers and spine. The skin is secured with tape to cards, cut slightly smaller than the covers, which are slipped under the edges of the plastic overlapping the pastedowns. The covers themselves do not appear to be taped and I believe that the skins could be removed without damage to the covers. Slight rubbing to the unprotected head and foot of spines. Otherwise, a few volumes have defects: volume 1 has a corner bump, slightly affecting all pages, volumes 5 and 11 have a short vertical crease to the spine.
