One Corpse Too Many A Mediaeval Whodunnit Second Brother Cadfael Chronicle by Ellis Peters (pseudonym of Edith Pargeter and author of A Morbid Taste for Bones, Monk's Hood, Saint Peter's Fair, etc.) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing MacMillan UK 1979. £4.50 original cover price. A very nice copy which is NOT x-lib, NOT bc ed.Near
Fine+ in Fine Dust Jacket. A really nice copy. The pages are very
clean, the corners of the boards are for the most part straight with
just a hint of tenderness to the lower right-hand corner, and a bit of
shelf-wear to the bottom edge of the front board and at the spine. The
dust jacket is near perfect, NO tears, only a hint of toning to the
back.NOTE on condition: Most copies of these books are
x-library copies. While I wouldn't characterize first edition copies as
rare, they seem to be relatively uncommon in near fine or better
condition. Many listings of the early Cadfael books in first editions
are often priced at a premium and they're x-library copies… Leer más

SIGNED by curator Chris Locker on the title page! A must for collectors and enthusiasts of children's literature, covering books from the mid-17th century to the late 20th century. SPECIAL NOTE: The present example is only one of about 10 copies which includes a dust jacket custom-made for this book (not issued by Grolier). Unless you buy this copy, you won't find any other copies available with this dust jacket. This catalogue offers a level of bibliography rarely seen in the description of children's books, and was inspired by the scholarly catalogue produced for the Morgan Library and… Leer más
